I ...Unfortunately, I'm too dumb to follow Lost. I tried to watch one episode partway through season 2 or 3 and got so frustrated, I gave up for good.

However, I can totally sympathize with running out of curved safety pins. The same thing happened to me last week. I started to call my hubby to see if he would pick some up on his way home from work, but decided I better just pack up the kiddos and make the trip myself to ensure I got exactly what I needed.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06443141466635282742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1955308577721461635.post-80841580970504608462010-02-03T09:35:35.204-08:002010-02-03T09:35:35.204-08:001&2) I think when Juliet was dying, the "...1&2) I think when Juliet was dying, the "veil was lifted" and she could see both timelines, so when she said that strange line about getting coffee and going dutch, it indicates that she and Sawyer are going to meet in the "real world" timeline. Her last important message to Sawyer is "it worked". She knows. (and in this new, altered timeline, do we yet have any evidence that Sawyer is a conman? The implication of his conversation with Hurley is that maybe he will try to con him out of his winnings, but maybe we'll find out that in this world he's not a grifter).

5) One of the podcasts I listen to came up with what I think is the cleverest name for the BSM/Man in Black, etc.: "Man in Locke". Love it! I also loved the portrayal. O'Quinn was great, too, in the part where he describes Locke's final thoughts to Ben; very chilling.

6) Ben is a little boy who responds to the biggest bully. I think he's still processing everything that happened. I'm curious to see how he evolves (or not). He always claimed to be working on behalf of the island; will he put his money where his mouth is? And once he fully processes things and understands how Man in Locke manipulated him into killing Jacob, maybe he will regret it and switch sides. I ADORE Michael Emerson's portrayal.

7) I love that they are playing out both stories, so we get to see the characters with the benefit of their island experience (Sawyer evolved into husband and leader, etc.) and without it. And I'm so intrigued to see how many changes will become apparent in the island-less world (ie Desmond on the plane, never having been to the island. I assume we'll see Ben and others in the real world who otherwise would have been on island), and how events will eventually conspire to lead them all together and probably bring both timelines together. (Wow that was a long and confusing sentence.)

11) if Richard was, as widely guessed, on The Black Rock, then maybe he was a servant or a slave on the ship. And I think that at least some of the Temple Others (notably the Asian men) also originated as pirates on The Black Rock. The real fear he showed when Man in Locke strode out of the Giant Foot was chilling; he's usually so collected.

*)WHERE IS CHRISTIAN SHEPHARD???? (This maybe ties in to my question death and bodies on the island: Man in Locke seems to be able to show himself in the guise of dead people, and there have been multiple examples over the years of the Others having very specific expectations regarding bodies (they wanted the bodies Sawyer killed back, we see them burning Colleen's body and setting it to sea, etc.) so maybe they know that their nemesis can inhabit the dead and make mischief. My question is whether or not Christian was one of those, or perhaps something different; maybe Jacob can literally resurrect (was Locke actually dead when Jacob touched him after being thrown out of the window? Lazarus-like, did Sayid have to be dead-beyond-question so that his resurrection would be a true miracle?). I like the notion that (much like Christ versus Satan), Jacob can perhaps do the real thing, while Man in Locke can only produce a fake.

Okay, enough babble now...Crunchyconmommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05120098229031084328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1955308577721461635.post-6120435739904183642010-02-03T09:35:17.384-08:002010-02-03T09:35:17.384-08:00And. Oh this show is so dang confusing.Kimmyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10502108079609791602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1955308577721461635.post-67642033534918620942010-02-03T09:30:05.989-08:002010-02-03T09:30:05.989-08:00The whole time traveling thing has really messed u...The whole time traveling thing has really messed up my brain cuz obviously my miles theory is wrong. The h bomb sent them back to the future when they were suppose to be, but obviously didn't erase the past nor the dharma people. So much for me trying to figure anything out. :)Kimmyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10502108079609791602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1955308577721461635.post-67304629699523557312010-02-03T08:37:34.860-08:002010-02-03T08:37:34.860-08:00Nice summary. i do think that the "talon"...Nice summary. i do think that the "talon" was just the bullet from being shot- it just bounced off him. And Rose and Bernard were supposedly sitting together on the plane in season one, he just never made it back up to where she was when the turbulence hit. My theory with Miles is that since the h-bomb was suppose to reset everything, he wouldnt have been on the island with the dharma folks cuz there would be no dharma folks, so his powers would never have been cuz they were caused from being exposed to the mysterious powers on the island in the first place. So he was surprised cuz he kinda knew he wasnt suppose to be able to have that ability anymore. Which is also why he would have been shocked after hearing juliets message, cuz if it worked then why can he still hear her? But who really knows.
I also think Ben hasnt chosen to be with evil Locke. I think he is just doing as he says so he doesnt get ripped into nothingness.
I was kinda bugged cuz in some of the interviews the writers said that by the end of the premier we would have many of the zillion questions answered, but I was left with even more questions than answers. I mean- what the flip is going on with the alternate reality? Its driving me crazy to think of how any of them can exist in 2 states of being. And is Claire pregnant? and what about the Claire on the island? And where was Michael and Walt? And Shannon? And Ana Lucia and Libby? And Mr Echo? Since they all dies on the island it doesnt make sense that Charlie, Frogurt/Neil and Artz would still show up in some way and not the rest of them. And what about Jacks dad? Where the fetch did he go? And was John lying to Boone about the walkabout on the plane, cuz in season one he wasnt allowed to go, but did they let him for some reason? if not, then why would he lie about it? And why was Cindy so weird with the others? Seriously- so many more questions than answers!!! But still it was a pretty cool premiere!!!Kimmyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10502108079609791602noreply@blogger.com
